 About Me

The field of divorce mediation is growing, which means you now have more mediators to choose from. So why choose me? My professional and personal experience contributes to my unique process of caring for you, your partner and your children.

I create a safe and nurturing environment for both parties so that they can effectively express their hopes and desires and have them be received by both myself and their partner.

I ensure that the detailed steps are tended to and that all of the bases are covered. You can rest assured this is an effective way to complete the negotiation process.

Professional Experience

I earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University and a Master’s Degree from Southampton College.  My education provides me with the knowledge and tools needed to develop a detailed and concise memorandum of understanding (MOU).  MOUs are more intricate and personalized than the litigated divorce process.  My background in writing and tending to details provide you with a road map for your family’s future.

I spent most of my life in the field of social work and cwriting. Both professional experiences provided me with the heart and mind to gently care for the needs of others. I also worked as the Director of Grants which required attention to clearly defining detailed process and plans, often writing up to 300-page documents to ensure that the goals and wishes of my clients were clearly stated in each document. After my own mediated divorce, I decided to change careers because I am passionate about family.

Personal Experience

I know what you are experiencing.  Just like you, I realized the time had come to alter my family construct so that we all could be living a happier lifestyle.  I wanted change, I wanted better.  But I also found myself terrified that my family was falling apart.  I worried about my kids.  I worried about my home. I worried about finances.  I worried about holding my family together when everything seemed to be falling apart.  Life seemed to be whirling all around me.

My ex-husband and I did our due diligence, looking at divorce litigation, collaborative divorce, even do-it-yourself divorce.  Finally, we chose to use a divorce mediator.  The process was one we wanted for many reasons. Divorce mediation provides a neutral party who works in the best interest of the family as a whole. After experiencing how positive the experience was, I decided I wanted to guide families through the same process, and transform the industry.

Transforming the Divorce Industry

For people who are on the fence about using mediation, it is important to know that this is a growing field in the many options on how to finalize their divorce.  This is a growing field that has gained popularity in recent years and continues to reach out to the masses of people looking for a new way to go about this process.  More and more people are using mediation because they see the benefits it provides to them and their family as a whole and realizing they can save themselves time, money, and anguish by participating in this mutually agreeable process.
